ORIGIN

Matter Suspended in Time explores the encounter with the self beneath the accumulated layers of experience.

The black field represents the unconscious, its incised surface bearing the traces of memory, experience and conditioning. Moving through it, the red line represents the self. The smooth rectangular field marks a suspension of time — a meditative state in which the continuous movement of thought momentarily ceases. Within this stillness, the small red square becomes a point of recognition — the moment of experiencing the real self

MATTER SUSPENDED IN TIME

Boundary explores the relationship between the self and the limits that define it. The work questions whether boundaries are inherent or constructed, whether they protect and define the self, or quietly determine how far it is willing to go. The red line stops before reaching the edge, suggesting that some of the most powerful boundaries are not physical, but internal — limits we perceive long before we actually encounter them

BOUNDARY

Suirti, kad taptum draws on the Nietzschean idea that becoming requires the destruction of what one has been. The fragmented, dissolving edges represent the constructed layers of identity — inherited beliefs, expectations and definitions of the self — gradually breaking apart. As these outer structures disappear, the center becomes the real self — not created anew, but revealed through the disappearance of everything that obscured it

Beneath every layer lies a different experience.
Texture becomes a record of formation - of what was imposed, what resisted and what endured. We mistake accumulation for identity, yet every layer is only a temporary condition of the original self

In these works, dense black textures form a layered, resistant field, suggesting the weight and opacity of the inner self. Red incisions cut through the surface as moments of awareness - marks of thought and self emerging. Together, they reveal a tension between containment and expression, where the self is shaped through rupture and becoming

BECOMING

In the Tabula Rasa works, each calligraphic gesture marks the energy of consciousness, capturing passing states, tensions and transformations. Rooted in the tradition of shodō, these works do not form language but rather visual expressions of inner state - signs in which presence, intention and transformation converge

In the Strata series, sumi ink, brown pigments and white acrylic create a dynamic topography of consciousness. Each gesture captures the relationship between thought, emotion and perception. Colors and forms construct a subtle map of the experiences that shape our awareness and sense of self

ODE TO LAYERS

In Verba et Forma, written words symbolize our thoughts, while sumi ink forms embodies emotion. Together, they interplay between mind and feeling, revealing how thought and emotion shape our perception and inner structure

The compositions are perceived as a kind of fabric of the inner world - dense, fragmented and constantly forming. Within them, thought emerges in the process of becoming, taking direction as it brings together emotion and perception into an expression of consciousness
